Enable moderation and choose filters

Turn on auto-moderation and pick what gets removed — links, ads, forwards, stop-words.

Updated: July 24, 2026

Moderation keeps your group clean automatically. It works in groups and supergroups (channels have no member chat to moderate).

Steps

  1. In the panel or Mini App, open Moderation.
  2. Turn moderation on for the bot.
  3. Choose which filters to enforce:
    • Links — messages containing links
    • Ads for other channels — external @mentions / channel promo
    • Forwards — forwarded messages
    • Stop-words — your own banned words list
  4. Save.
🔧 What happens under the hood

Every incoming group message is checked against your enabled filters. Admins and the owner are always skipped. When a message breaks a rule, the bot deletes it and applies your chosen penalty (see the cascade). Channels are never moderated — only groups and supergroups.

💡 Tip

Start with links + ads for other channels — that stops most spam. Add stop-words for your community's specific rules.

Next: set the penalty cascade.
