Plan states: trial, grace and locked

What each state means — and what keeps working if you don't pay in time.

Updated: July 24, 2026

Your platform plan moves through a few states. Nothing here ever punishes your subscribers.

The states

  • Trial — 7 days free when you start, full features.
  • Active — paid and current.
  • Grace — the period ended without payment. Works exactly like active for 3 more days, with reminders.
  • Locked — grace ran out. The panel goes read-only and you can't sell new access.

What still works when locked

  • Existing subscribers keep their access.
  • Expiry removal still runs (unpaid members are removed on time).
  • Moderation keeps working — we never let your community fill with spam over a billing issue.
🔧 What happens under the hood

A daily job moves plans through these states and sends reminders 3 days and 1 day before the period ends. Paying at any point returns you to active immediately. Super-admin accounts are exempt.
