How to create a private channel

Set up a private Telegram channel — the kind TribeSync can put behind a paywall.

A channel is a one-way broadcast where only admins post. Make it private and TribeSync can sell access to it.

Steps

  1. In Telegram, tap the pencil/compose icon → New Channel.
  2. Give it a name and (optionally) a description and photo.
  3. On the channel type screen, choose Private Channel — do not set a public link.
  4. Skip adding members for now — buyers will be added automatically after they pay.
  5. Finish creating the channel.
⚠️ Watch out

A public channel can't be sold through TribeSync — anyone could join for free, so the bot declines it. If your channel already has a public @username, switch it to private first.
