Member limits for moderation
Each plan caps the size of a group you can moderate — here's how it behaves.

Moderation has its own limit, separate from paid subscribers: the number of members in a group you moderate. It reflects the server cost of watching a large chat.
How it behaves
- You can't enable moderation on a group larger than your plan's member limit — the bot checks the size when you turn it on.
- If a group grows past the limit later, moderation keeps working. You'll get a one-time notice with an upgrade suggestion.
- Raise the limit by upgrading your platform plan.
🔧 What happens under the hood
When you switch moderation on, TribeSync measures the group's current member count and blocks it if it's over your cap. Growth afterwards is handled softly: a daily job flags it and notifies you once — it never silently switches moderation off on your community.
ℹ️ Good to know
This member limit is independent from the subscriber limit (active paid subscribers). A plan has both.
