Glossary

Short definitions for the words you'll meet in this help center.

• Bot — an automated Telegram account you control; in TribeSync it takes payments, grants access and moderates.
• Channel — a one-way broadcast (only admins post).
• Group / supergroup — a two-way chat; Telegram auto-upgrades a growing group into a supergroup (new internal id).
• Private vs public — private chats are join-by-approval; public chats anyone can join by @username.
• Telegram Stars (XTR) — Telegram's in-app currency; used to pay bots. Developer payout is a fixed rate.
• Crypto Pay — Telegram's crypto payment tool (@CryptoBot) for USDT/TON; funds go to your own wallet.
• Webhook — a callback URL Telegram/Crypto Pay calls to notify us of events (e.g. a payment).
• Mainnet / testnet — real vs test crypto network; use mainnet for real payments.
• Join request — a request to enter a chat that an admin (here, the bot) approves; TribeSync approves only paid members.
• Plan / tariff — what a subscriber buys for access (price + period).
• One-off vs recurring — a fixed-period payment vs an auto-renewing monthly Stars subscription.
• Subscriber cap — max active paid subscribers on your platform plan.
• Moderated-members cap — max group size you can moderate on your plan.
• Trial / grace / locked — states of your own platform plan (see plan states).
• Workspace — your account container; one per owner, holds your bots and plan.
