What happens when a subscription expires
How access is removed at the end — and how people come back.
Updated: July 24, 2026
When a one-off subscription runs out and isn't renewed, TribeSync closes access cleanly.
What the subscriber experiences
- The subscription is marked expired.
- They're removed from the channel/group.
- They get a message with a subscribe again button, so returning is one tap.
What about recurring subscriptions?
Recurring Stars subscriptions don't expire while active — Telegram renews them automatically each month. They only end if the subscriber cancels or a charge fails.
The daily job finds subscriptions whose date has passed, marks them expired, and removes the person by a quick ban-then-unban (which kicks them without a permanent ban, so they can rejoin after paying again). Then it sends the re-subscribe message.
Removal is automatic and applies even if your own platform plan is paused — we never keep unpaid members in your chat on your behalf.
